Jim Zimmerman, who earned his Ph.D. in English at The Ohio State University, is a member of the faculty of The School of Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication at James Madison University in Virginia, U.S.A. His work addresses various examples of contemporary North American rhetoric, including a recent essay on the painter Terry Rodgers, a review of a book about T.S. Eliot’s Four Quartets, and a book chapter entitled “Virtual Writing as Actual Leading” on the business use of electronic mail.
